Hey Everyone,I have myResound 65 set up and this is my 2nd day in a row to set at it. First of all ,it's the nicest most powerful and articulate steel guitar I have ever sat down to.I am playing it through a Fender Tone Master black twin, and a slide rig for compression on ballads. Got the vol on 3.5, Treble around5.5,Mid around 3,Bass on 4, verb around 4.5 . It does everything I try to do, long slides, intervals, articulate in the 16th notes, and in TUNE!!!!!!! My HEART! Just gonna have some fun with it for a week, no outdoor stuff, only in the climate controlled venues. The pro II will work for outdoor stuff for a while longer. I am particularly drawn to the pick up on the Emmons. Not shrill, sweet, not mid filled, just forward feeling, not woofy on the bass, but punchy. Every note is heard man! That's
all..for now!
Well, you guys have inspired me...what can I say(!) I'm grateful. I was speaking with Lucky Oceans from Asleep at the Wheel the other day. Australia has been his home now for over 40 years. I told him about my Resound 65 and he was excited to hear all about the companies resurgence. I'm going to send him a link and have him draw his own conclusions. He's been a friend of my oldest brother Wayne since grade school. A great guy.
